Glencoe is an unincorporated community within Calaveras County, California. It sits at an elevation of 2,721 feet (824 m) above sea level and is located at .
Glencoe was erst known as Mosquito Gulch. A business part of a town was on the northerly side of Mosquito Gulch, but not one of the old buildings remains. A mines were number one worked by Mexicans in the early 1850s. Quartz mining predominated but there was a select few placer mining as well.
A town now is registered when California Historical Landmark #280.
